Passion & Compassion for Animals
As someone grateful to have had animals in my life since childhood, I’ve always looked at them (and nature) with a sense of awe. Providing them with comfort and respect is the least I can do to give back to them for the many positive things they’ve shared with me over the decades.
The story of DohGrayMe arises out of the love for two of my late elder furry family members, Doyle (AKA “Doh”) and Gracie (AKA “Gray-Gray”). Add "Me" (AKA Nancy Dear) in with that dynamic duo and you have DohGrayMe.
Doyle and Gracie were 13 and 17.5 years old, respectively, when we had to say goodbye. Prior to that, I found that massage helped them stay mobile, provided stability in their movement, and comforted them as they aged and experienced aches and pains. Seeing those and many other benefits drew me to become an animal massage practitioner.
It is my pleasure and privilege to provide massage as a way to bring comfort, relaxation, calm, and/ or pain relief to the animals in your life. To provide the best service possible, I am continually learning as well as 'listening' to the animal clients I serve.
Prior to becoming an Animal Massage Practitioner, my background consisted of a combined 30+ years in Medical Technology, Public Health, Environmental Health & Safety, and genetic research. I am also certified as an Integrative Health Coach through Duke Integrative Medicine and the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBC-HWC).
I very much value health and wellness not only for humans but also for animals.
